Shivkrupa Sahakari Patpedhi continues its unwavering commitment to enhancing the economic prosperity of farmers, businessmen, and common people in society, striving to improve their lives. Originating in the western part of Maharashtra, a group of Satarkar natives residing in Mumbais Vikhroli-Bhandup area came together to establish the Satara Vikas Mandal in the 1980s. These gatherings, initially held at the Shiva Temple near Vikhroli Station, sparked the idea of founding a financial institution aimed at supporting mill workers and addressing their needs.

On 22nd November 1982, Shivkrupa was founded with 520 members and an initial sum of Rs. 25,000. Today, Shivkrupa stands out as a distinguished credit society and one of Maharashtras leading credit cooperatives. Each day at all branches begins with a prayer to Shri Ganesha, seeking blessings for economic prosperity. Driven by strong will, hard work, and team spirit, Shivkrupa shines as a beacon in the cooperative movement. The Board of Directors, pivotal in driving cooperative progress, forms the backbone of Shivkrupa Sahakari Patpedhi. Various committees under this board function effectively, with weekly meetings every Saturday focusing on member interests and broader topics.

Boasting over 3 lakh members and over 800 staff across its branches, Shivkrupa Sahakari Patpedhi has become a lighthouse for the cooperative credit movement, leveraging trained staff and modern technology. In a market with intense competition among financial institutions, Shivkrupa recognizes the customer as king. Interest on loans forms a primary income source for the society. To meet diverse client needs, Shivkrupa has introduced various loan schemes. Its efficient loan disbursement and continuous deposit collection systems reflect its mission and vision, aligned with evolving national and international economies. A significant challenge for credit societies is the recovery of unproductive debt, an area where Shivkrupa has excelled through consistent recovery efforts and adherence to legal requirements.

The cooperative credit societies of Maharashtra significantly contribute to the general economy. Embracing this ideology, Shivkrupa has merged with financially struggling organizations like Dadasaheb Sakhawalkar Patsanstha, Omkar Patsanstha, and Bhairavnath Gramin Sahakari Prasantha, reinforcing public faith in cooperation. This aligns with the cooperative policy of the Government of Maharashtra. Shivkrupa maintains its social commitment while promoting cooperation, evidenced by its participation in government tree conservation schemes and initiatives like installing water tanks in drought-affected areas of Satara district.

Shivkrupa, embodying the spirit of cooperation, stands as a guiding light in Maharashtras cooperative movement. This achievement is a source of immense pride for all directors, members, customers, daily deposit collection and recovery agents, and employees of the organization.
